- Speed: Traditional manufacturing (injection molding, machining) can take weeks and cost thousands just to make one test mold. With my Bambu Lab printer, I can print a prototype overnight.
- Cost: No expensive tooling required. You’re only paying for filament and print time, which means you can afford to make mistakes and try again.
- Iteration: Version 1 didn’t quite work? Tweak the design and print version 2 the same day. This “fail fast, fix fast” loop is exactly how real product designers work.

If I can design something on my computer and hold a working version of it in my hands the very next day, so can you. That’s the coolest part of this hobby-turned-business: 3D printing takes “I have an idea” and turns it into “I built a thing” ridiculously fast.
A lot of my prototype ideas actually come from browsing MakerWorld and seeing how other designers solved similar problems, then remixing those ideas for a new project.
